Among the dies which Benbros bought from Timpo Toys in 1951 was a farm roller which they re-issued unchanged as Horse-drawn Roller. Later, when looking for ways to expand the Qualitoys farming range, Benbros re-cast it for the Tractor & Roller model by curving the shafts together to join at the tip. The original seat was kept but there was no extra figure provided to sit in it. Underneath the seat the 'Timpo' name was blanked out and under the frame 'Made in England' was cast. 

The Roller had a few different colour combinations, yellow frame with unpainted rollers, yellow frame with yellow rollers, or red frame with yellow rollers.

The Tractor used was, of course, the excellent Ferguson Tractor which for this model was painted bright orange and usually finished with silver trim on the front grille and engine parts. Benbros used two types of wheels on the tractor, narrow wheels (type 4 tractor) painted blue without trim, or heavier wheels, originally cast for the Muir-Hill Dumper, painted blue with silver centres (type 5 tractor).

The driver for the Tractor & Roller was painted in two different colours according to the model. For the variations with a yellow frame she was green with pale-tan face and hands, and usually with black boots and a black hat. For the variation with a red frame, the driver was blue like the tractor wheels with just a little pale-tan face trim.

As with several other Farm Equipment models, the Tractor & Roller was sold in a generic multi-model end-flap box with illustrations on all four sides. The yellow end-flaps stated 'Benbros Qualitoys' and at one end there was a blank panel for the model name 'Farm Tractor & Roller' to be stamped.

The variation with yellow frame and unpainted rollers is probably the most commonly seen but all the Tractor & Roller sets are very hard to find, partly perhaps because there is no maker's identification on either the tractor or the roller. The stamped box is also a rare find.
